Help support refugee families who have fled Afghanistan to rebuild their lives here in our community.

Enjoy Afghan sweets, treats and music on the I-House Terrace. Proceeds from this event will support the International Rescue Committee Sacramento as they assist the resettlement of Afghan refugees – interpreters, medical personnel and others who served the U.S. government during the war in Afghanistan – who are now rebuilding their lives in the Sacramento region.

Featuring a talk by Jessica Goudeau, acclaimed author of “After the Last Border”

Tickets: $125 per person.

*Due to COVID safety reasons this event will be on the Terrace weather permitting!

Gift Card Drive:

Please bring an Amazon, Target, or Visa gift card for $25- $100 with you to be distributed directly to Afghan refugee families to purchase the supplies that they need to create their new homes.

Sponsors will promote their brand to the event participants, and most importantly, will know that they are supporting Afghan families as they rebuild their lives here in our communities. Sponsors will be listed in all promotional and event materials, in the press release, in I-House’s newsletter that is distributed to over 5,000 people, and on the event page of the I-House website. 

FRIENDSHIP SPONSOR – $500-$999: Your sponsorship represents the cost for an evacuee family to complete visa paperwork, about $575 per family.

WELCOME SPONSOR– $1000 – $2499: Your sponsorship represents the monthly cost of rent for a modest 2-bedroom apartment for a family, approximately $1500 per month in our region.

EMPOWERMENT SPONSOR – $2500 – $4999: Your sponsorship represents the cost of a family car that opens up opportunities for work, dignity and self-determination
