United Nations Association of the United States of America (UNA-USA)

UNA-USA is a nonpartisan United Nations Foundation program dedicated to supporting the United Nations (celebrating its 75th anniversary this year) through educating and inspiring the public about global issues, such as seeking peaceful resolutions to conflict and promoting the Sustainable Development Goals. UNA-USA members actively advocate at all levels for constructive American participation and leadership at the United Nations, notably through an annual Day on the Hill in Washington, DC, in-district meetings with members of Congress and through virtual advocacy efforts. The Davis chapter’s signature annual events are United Nations Day and the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign in October, Human Rights Day in December and International Women’s Day in March. The group has traditionally met at International House; during Covid-19, events are virtual. Membership is open to any resident in the U.S. Student memberships are free at www.unausa.org For information please contact Verena Borton at verenaborton@gmail.com
