Join UNA-USA Davis and International House Davis for an inspiring community observance of the 77th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Since its adoption by the United Nations on December 10, 1948, the Declaration has stood as a milestone document affirming the inalienable rights of every person—regardless of race, color, religion, gender, language, political opinion, national or social origin, property, birth, or other status.
At this gathering, community members will read the 30 Articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 31 different languages, honoring the diversity within our global community and celebrating the shared values that unite us. Following the program, guests are invited to enjoy light refreshments and conversation.
Readers are welcome! If you wish to participate in sharing an Article in another language, please contact Verena Borton at verena.borton@unadavis.org or complete this intake form.
We look forward to commemorating this special day with you.
