Join us for a Talk on Gun Violence and Extremism with

Garen J. Wintemute, M.D., M.P.H.

The Davis Phoenix Coalition, UC Davis Office of Campus Community Relations-Community and Regional Engagement, the Campus Community Book Project, and the Davis Chapter of Moms Demand Action will hold a presentation and discussion with Dr. Garen Wintemute, M.D., M.P.H., on the topic of Gun Violence and extremism in the United States.

Dr. Wintemute is a renowned expert on the public health crisis of gun violence and a pioneer in the field of injury epidemiology and prevention of firearm violence.

The United States has seen a rise in both hate crimes and gun violence. We are committed to working with our community to do what we can to prevent violence in any form. The Davis Phoenix Coalition, the office of Campus & Community engagement as well as Moms Demand action share the common vision of building communities that are engaged to support violence-free spaces where all identities are safe and respected.

Information about the city of Davis gun lock program will be briefly presented prior to the talk by the Davis Police Department.
