Volunteer
Volunteers are an integral part of I-House. I-House owes its success to strong volunteer support. They are involved with much of the programming, upkeep and renovation of the facility, and in areas ranging from assisting the office staff, teaching classes, maintaining the yard and the facility, fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and many other aspects of I-House operation, including leadership roles.
International visitors often serve as diplomats from other countries, teaching others about their cultures. They do so when they give talks at the I-House, help host distinguished visitors from their countries, demonstrate their cooking skills at the ethnic dinners, or participate in seminars and forums.
Volunteers are needed who have interests and talents in the above activities, or in program planning, hospitality, fundraising, working with foreign students, etc.
